A Project Administrator is sought for assisting in the program management support of domestic and foreign navy hardware manufacturing projects at AMSC’s Ayer and Westminster, Massachusetts facilities. With limited supervision, the successful candidate will develop and manage schedules, data submittals, and progress reports for the projects assigned to the individual.

Functions

  • Manage the registration and filing of all project documentation sent to or received from our business partners.
  • Control the recording and tracking of all actions allocated to the program team during internal and external meetings.
  • Support the Business Development function in managing technical and project documentation including the development of data by other functions.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of an accurate project data folder for the storage and management of specific project data in multiple formats.
  • With technical guidance, prepare required technical and schedule progress reports.
  • Assist in the definition and organization of required reviews such as Design Reviews, Test Plan and Management reviews as appropriate. Identify dates and objectives for each review and communicate clearly with customers. Prepare required reports and follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain a Change Management process for assigned project documentation, that dovetails with the business Engineering Change Order (ECO) process with AMSC PDM software (Agile).
  • Submit Engineering Change Request (ECR) for project documentation requiring configuration management within Agile.

Education – experience

  • High School Diploma with 1-4 years’ experience in the field of technical (mechanical and/or electrical engineering) project administration/ coordination/ management OR BS Degree in a technical field.
  • Demonstrated experience in using MS Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

  • Some domestic travel may be expected.
