Overview
For over 50 years, Neeltran has sets itself apart from other manufacturers, being one of the few companies that design and manufactures their own custom rectifier-transformers (rectiformers). As such, Neeltran works closely with each customer to find the best integrationfor their site, considering any mechanical and electrical constraints. Rectiformer solutions come in a variety of cooling options and topologies. Neeltran’s air cooled rectifiers have a current rating of up to 50 kAdc per 6 pulse, at up to 3,000 Vdc. Their water-cooled rectifiers have current ratings of up to 110(220) kADC per each 6(12) pulse, at up to 6,000 VDC. Neeltran also offers small DC choppers (3 kA @ 1000 VDC or below) for torch applications. Neeltran’s water-cooled rectifiers are efficient for applications needing a small footprint. With this configuration, there is no need for transformer pits or blast walls often required at sites with oil-filled transformers.
Neeltran’s rectiformer solutions can be designed for extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C, suiting them for harsh environments. They also offer multi-pulse systems including 6, 12, 18, 24, and more. As an option, Neeltran can provide rectiformer solutions that are pre-engineered and pre-assembled into a turnkey E-House configuration. This allows for fast and easy plug and play installation at the customer’s site. Neeltran can also include fully integrated harmonic filtration and power factor correction to compliance with IEEE 519 or other local requirements.
Neeltran leverages extensive global multi-industry experience when designing each rectiformer system. Importantly, their solutions come guaranteed to meet the customer’s specific technical and safety requirements. Neeltran provides complete ANSI and/or IEC testing, with third-party certifications available for all environments and countries upon request. Unlike other manufacturers, Neeltran offers factory testing of the fully integrated transformer and rectifier system before shipping it to the customer site. This allows for line up testing of the complete system in their actual configuration prior to shipment. This includes separate tests at full rated current and voltage. After shipment to the site, Neeltran’s committed global service team provides comprehensive technical assistance with installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Trusted globally, Neeltran has specialized in the design and manufacturing of high power rectiformers since 1973. Many diverse applications and industries extensively utilize their solutions. These include chemical (chlorine, chlorate, pulp and paper, lithium, hydrogen, and electrochemical), metals, mining, and minerals, aluminum, oil and gas, water treatment, defense/military/aerospace, and more. Neeltran’s experienced team prides itself on their close collaboration with customers to ensure delivery of optimized high quality solutions. Importantly, Neeltran can design and build power supply systems for new greenfield sites, as well as complex retrofits for existing facilities.
